CHRISTMAS 2023
We are very excited to announce that Sail With Santa will be running again in 2023! As well as our ever-popular trips you will also be able to book a Zoom With Santa call for your family, school or community group. Details and links to book can be found below:
Sail With Santa
Join Santa onboard the Community Spirit 2 canal boat for a festive 35 minute round trip along the canals of Tameside with songs, stories, and presents with Santa! Each ticket includes light refreshments for all children and grown-ups.
Spaces are limited to 11 people per trip, and due to numbers being strictly limited by the boat's insurance, all passengers (including babes in arms) must purchase a ticket to be allowed on board. All tickets cost £10 (plus £1 booking fee), regardless of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult on the Sail With Santa trips. The boat is fully accessible for both self-propelling and electric wheelchair users. Please contact us if you are a wheelchair user or have any other accessibility needs that we will need to know about to ensure a smooth trip.
The Community Spirit 2 is moored behind Portland Basin Museum, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 0QA. Trips run from and back to this mooring. The mooring can be accessed through the Museum or via the side gate on the same side as Bridge View Cafe.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE: In the event of ice on the canals, the Sail With Santa experience will still go ahead with the boat remaining stationary at Portland Basin. Tickets are non-refundable. In the unlikely event of us having to cancel due to an emergency, we will try our best to transfer you onto another trip of your choice. If no suitable alternative can be found, we will issue a full refund for the cost of the trip. Events are run by 2 Boards & A Passion in association with the East Manchester Community Boat Project. Both organisations carry full insurance.

Family Zoom With Santa call: £20
This December Father Christmas will be keeping the magic of Christmas alive by checking in with children and their families in the run-up to the big day via live video link. For only £20 you can enjoy a personalised 10 minute live video call with Father Christmas!
*NO extra charge for more than one child in the same household.
*FREE links for parents or grandparents to watch from other houses! (Though Father Christmas can only talk to the children in one household during one 10 minute call; please contact us for prices if you would like a longer call for multiple households of children to join in the fun!)

To book a call:
1. Click here to request a time slot. (Please state your ideal time and we will try to allocate you a call as close to that time as possible.)
2. We will email you back during office hours with a date and time. If this suits you, you will make payment and we will confirm your call, asking for some further information to pass on to Father Christmas. If this date and time is not suitable we will try to find an alternative convenient time.
3. Complete the short questionnaire to help to make your call as personal and magical as possible.
4. Sit back and enjoy your special family time with Father Christmas!
Class Zoom With Santa calls:
£60 for one class, plus £30 for additional classes
This year we want to help schools, nurseries and community groups to make Christmas as magical as possible for your children so we are offering whole class Zoom calls with Father Christmas! Our class calls last for 30 minutes and are interactive to make every child feel as involved as possible. Father Christmas will introduce himself and talk about the preparations that he, Mrs Claus and the Elves have been making ready for Christmas. He will tell stories and poems and lead the children in singing Christmas songs while he plays his guitar.
The cost of one half-hour class call is £60, with additional classes costing only £30 each. To enquire about booking a class or group call please email us.
